First Affirmative Constructive Speech: Euthanasia A lady named Brittany Maynard who was twenty-nine years old had stage 4 of Glioblastoma Multiform, which is brain cancer. She had taken a lethal medication, given to her by her doctors in Portland, Oregon. On November 1, 2014 she had chosen to end her life by Euthanasia. surrounded by family and friends, she died peacefully in her bedroom, with her loved ones by her side. she had thought out her choice well enough to go through with it. she was an advocate for the legislation of aide in dying (Maynard). The law for Euthanasia is that it is illegal in all 50 states except 4 of the states, which are; Oregon, Washington, Vermont, and Montana. People see Euthanasia as man slaughter or murder, and that the law should punish the people who perform it. In the states where Euthanasia is illegal, the people who perform it can face upto 14 years in prison (Assissted Suicide Laws). Euthanasia is a Greek word that translates into meaning Easy Death, it is a painless way of dying, a patient who is in a lot of pain or has some sort of illness that will result in death at one point in their life will request for Euthanasia (Wesley). I have resolved that Euthanasia should be legal in not just the United States, but the whole world. A severely handicapped or terminally ill person should have the right to choose to live or die.
